Dr. Achord is a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in Jackson, Mississippi. Prior to entering dental school Dr. Achord received a graduate degree in Immunopathology, also from UMC, during which time he conducted and presented numerous research projects and papers both nationally and internationally. Following graduation from dental school Dr. Achord entered private practice in the Reservoir area, and later became a part-time clinical instructor at the UMC dental school.
Dr. Achord's interests include not only restorative dentistry but also emergency dental care, oral medicine and diseases of the mouth, as well as dental treatment of patients receiving chemotherapy and radiation.
